Provider Enrollment Specialist

Bradenton, FL (IN OFFICE POSITION)

Pay Range: $22–$24/hr


Position Summary

The Provider Enrollment Specialist manages the enrollment and credentialing process for facility and professional providers with government and commercial payers. This role ensures timely submission and maintenance of provider participation, supports compliance with regulatory standards, and fosters communication between clinics, providers, and payers.


Essential Duties

  • Complete and submit insurance enrollment and credentialing applications per organizational, state, and federal requirements

  • Oversee initial credentialing and re-credentialing for all providers

  • Track application status and communicate issues or updates to management

  • Respond to staff and payer inquiries regarding enrollment, documentation, and participation

  • Obtain signatures and documentation as needed in the field

  • Maintain confidentiality, uphold organizational values, and support company goals

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements & Preferences

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 2+ years of credentialing or managed care experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance plans

  • Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance billing

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Must meet deadlines and maintain patient confidentiality


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs

  • Requires frequent use of hands, vision, and hearing

  • Occasional travel and fieldwork may be necessary

  • Must be able to handle stressful situations and maintain professionalism
