Part-Time Claims Support Assistant – Risk Management
$24.00/hr | 20 Hours/Week | Flexible Schedule | Potential Remote Work
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide part-time administrative and claims processing support to our Risk Management Department. This position offers flexible hours (up to 20 per week) and the potential for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Processing (40%)
Review, verify, and process claim details, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Issue initial contact letters and maintain thorough claim records in the Origami Risk Management System.
Collaborate with Risk team members to gather supporting documentation and resolve questions.
Assist with journal entries and the processing of settlement documents and payments, ensuring all required signatures and forms are obtained.
Documentation & Record Keeping (30%)
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, including notes, supporting documents, and correspondence.
Ensure all files meet compliance standards and privacy regulations.
Collaboration & Communication (30%)
Work closely with Risk Management and other departments to support efficient claims resolution.
Coordinate with adjusters, internal business units, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information (e.g., work orders or incident details).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
Proficiency in computer systems and software applications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Prior experience with claims processing is preferred
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
