Recreation Aide
Location: Nancy Higgs Community Center – Pickleball
Pay Rate: $15.13/hour
We are hiring a Recreation Aide to support activities at the Nancy Higgs Community Center. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people of all ages and wants to help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.
This role involves assisting with recreational activities such as games, arts and crafts, group events, and community programs. You’ll help set up and supervise activities, care for equipment, interact with guests, and support the overall operations of the center.
Job Duties:
Assist with planning and leading recreational activities and events
Engage with guests to understand their interests and recommend programs
Set up, issue, and maintain recreational equipment and supplies
Help keep the facility clean, organized, and presentable
Answer phones and provide general information to the public
Collect fees, issue receipts, and complete related paperwork
Support special events and act as a facility attendant as needed
Requirements:
Experience working with children or organizing group activities (paid or volunteer)
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of games, sports, and recreational programs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A valid Florida Driver’s License depending on assignment
Physical Requirements:
This position involves light physical activity and may require working both indoors and outdoors, including in varying weather conditions and around moderate noise.
