Project Coordinator III – Utilities Engineering

Location: Pasco County, FL
Salary: $22.78

6-month temporary assignment

 

Join Pasco County’s award-winning team and support the Utilities Engineering Department. This role provides advanced clerical, accounting, and project support to engineering staff, including contract preparation, project tracking, and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process design and construction contracts, bid documents, and pay requests.

  • Maintain project files, records, permits, and cost analyses for capital projects.

  • Review bids, prepare award documents, and coordinate Notices to Proceed.

  • Assist with permit applications, environmental compliance reporting, and public involvement activities.

  • Support staff with scheduling, reporting, and process improvements.

  • Track and prepare Board of County Commissioners (BCC) agenda items.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree plus four years of progressive experience in project management, construction, engineering, or public works (including two years in a government or regulatory agency), or

  • High school diploma/equivalency plus six years of related experience.

  • Strong knowledge of contracts, project cost accounting, and government procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project a plus.

  • Valid Florida driver’s license required.
