Inventory Specialist / Stockroom Clerk

Schedule: Mondays through Fridays - 7am - 3:30pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Maintenance/Admin Temp-to-Perm – Inventory Specialist / Stockroom Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will support the Inventory Manager with day-to-day operations in the stockroom, including inventory tracking, data entry, cycle counts, shipping/receiving, and ordering supplies. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a background in warehouse inventory and basic maintenance knowledge, particularly with hardware parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Inventory Manager with inventory control tasks and stockroom organization
Perform accurate data entry of inventory and maintenance records into computer systems
Handle shipping and receiving of parts, equipment, and materials
Stock shelves, pull parts, and maintain a clean, orderly storeroom
Place orders for inventory and maintenance supplies as needed
Conduct cycle counts and reconcile physical counts with system records
Use inventory software (preferably Maximo) for tracking and updating inventory
Communicate professionally via email for order confirmations, follow-ups, and internal coordination
Support basic maintenance tasks, especially related to hardware parts (preferred)
Qualifications:
Prior experience in inventory management, warehouse, or stockroom operations
Familiarity with Maximo or similar inventory management systems
Strong data entry and computer skills
Experience in shipping & receiving
Ability to stock, lift, and organize inventory as needed
Knowledge or experience with hardware parts and maintenance (preferred)
Good email etiquette and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
Working in a stockroom/warehouse environment
