Overview

We’re looking for a reliable, service-minded Customer Service Representative to support a busy county department. This role is all about helping residents and internal staff get the information and services they need, while delivering a consistently positive experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from the general public and county employees regarding services, processes, and available resources.

  • Identify the type of service or information being requested and provide accurate guidance.

  • Deliver a high level of customer service, aiming to exceed expectations on every interaction.

  • Enter data and service requests into various systems to create and process work orders.

  • Provide status updates and follow-up information as needed.

  • Transfer inquiries to subject matter experts when appropriate.

  • Attend required training sessions, team meetings, and department briefings.

  • Support front-counter operations when assigned, assisting walk-in visitors.

  • Maintain customer service standards, business protocols, and quality expectations.

  • Collaborate effectively in a team-focused environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • At least one year of experience in a call center or customer service role.

  • Strong communication skills and comfort handling high-volume inquiries.

  • Ability to learn multiple systems and follow established procedures.
