Core Responsibilities
Safely operate a bus or van along set routes/schedules.
Ensure the safety of all passengers during transit (especially students).
Assist passengers (particularly students) when boarding and exiting.
Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the bus/van interior.
Adhere to all traffic laws and transportation regulations at all times.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff — professionally address any concerns during transit.
Keep accurate records as needed (e.g. rider/ passenger records, incident or maintenance reports) — ability to write reports is listed as a requirement.
Requirements & Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is required for Bus Drivers.
Proven experience as a bus driver is preferred (or the ability to demonstrate good driving skills + safe driving record).
Ability to manage and supervise children/student passengers: this includes being able to handle passenger behavior effectively.
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Clean driving record and ability to maintain safe driving practices.
Commitment to personal faith and church attendance
