Performs paraprofessional-technician work in support of an identified occupational body of knowledge, business process or application, including but not limited to human resources, finance, document management, law, or regulation.
Essential Function
o Provides direct, technician support staff in an identified occupational discipline in carrying out business processes and projects.
o Demonstrates and applies understanding of issues and best practices in the identified body of knowledge.
o Uses computerized business systems, web-based data systems, and other technology to complete work assignments. Uses data management, collection, and record filing systems to organize, store and retrieve information.
o Accesses, reviews, compiles, and analyzes multiple sources of data and information to generate appropriate criteria for reports and presentations.
o Compiles data repositories from source materials, such as business records, quality -control or test records, time and attendance records, or other forms.
o Compiles reports, charts, or graphs that describe and interpret findings or aid in data analysis. Participates in the publication of data or information to end users.
o Processes and documents daily/routine business actions and requests according to organizational policies and procedures; refers non-routine issues and problems to higher-level staff or supervisor.
o Explains established procedures and practices in terms of customer needs and business results and goals.
o Makes decisions according to standard operating procedures.
o Tracks and reports on work activities using calendars and in accordance with established processing timeframes.
Environmental Conditions and Physical Requirements
o Primarily sedentary with ability to perform continuous repetitive tasks (to include keyboarding) with one or both hands.
o Frequently lifts and carries objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
o Frequently bends and reaches above shoulder level; with the occasional need to squat, crawl, or climb.
o Must be able to operate automotive vehicle for 2 hours or more at a time.
