CNC Lathe Machinist

American Workforce Group has partnered with a local Waterjet Industry Company in Olympia, WA looking for a CNC Operator!

Description for CNC Operator:

• Program, setup and run Swiss CNC Screw machines to maintain high quality tight tolerance machined parts.
• Monitor multiple Swiss CNC machines in production
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's
• Provide feedback and suggestions to management for continuous improvement of the company.

Details for CNC Operator:

• Pay: $30-$45HR DOE
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 
• Shift Hours: 6AM- 3PM. M-F OT as needed.

Requirements for CNC Operator:

• Must be methodical and can read and program NC code.
• Must have experience with Swiss style machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Must be punctual, positive minded & work well with others.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. 
• Strong leadership potential.
• Skilled communicator with the ability to work well in a highly motivated team environment. 
• Ability to work in a time sensitive environment. 
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Prior experience in ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100 certification environments would be a plus. 
• 2-year Technical degree (or apprenticeship) 
• Minimum of 5 years' experience setting up and operating multi-axis Swiss CNC
• Experience preferred in Exact Job Boss, Unipoint and GAL6
