Machine Operator

AppleTree Staffing is currently hiring for a Machine Operator in our client’s Greenwood, IN manufacturing facility.

 Responsibilities

Machine Operator

•  Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets and routings in a fast paced production cell.

• Follow Work Instructions, prioritize/schedule and ship orders on time.

• Load programs, make minor offsets and change cutting tools.

• Accurately measure, utilize and handle precision instruments, calipers, micrometers, surface finish checks, indicators, and tape measures-both Metric and English. 

• Ensure equipment is well maintained by performing TPM activities according to schedule while continuing to develop the preventative maintenance program measured by 1. Unplanned Downtime, and 2. Completion of scheduled TPM per cycle period. Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education (GED) degree required

• 3-5 years related experience and/or training in basic machine trades

• Strong background in lathe milling machine (CNC and manual), drills, grinders, and other equipment used in machine tool operation.

• 1-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
