AppleTree Staffing is seeking qualified applicants for our client’s 1st & 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician position.

They offer an EXTREMELY clean, stable, financially secure, and well-organized environment for someone with the right qualifications. This client is growing rapidly and has added over 100,000 square feet in the last year to their facility.

In this role, you would be repairing and maintaining the facility. You would also be working on mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems, and automated lubrication systems.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Visually inspects and tests machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.

  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of the drive mechanism or hydraulic system.

  • Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on the machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe. Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.

  • Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment. Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.

  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

  • Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other structures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • 4-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (relevant experience would include machine/CNC operation)

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

  • Must be able to lift and /or move up to 40 pounds regularly

  • Positive personality and demeanor required

  • Impeccable attendance record

  • Clear background and ability to pass a drug screen
