AppleTree Staffing is partnering up with one of our manufacturing clients located on the southwest side of Indianapolis to help them hire for their Inventory Control Coordinator opening on 1st shift.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for monitoring inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory.

Daily Functions:

  • Input quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, and make inventory and cycle count adjustments in the computer database.

  • Operate Stand-up and Sit-down forklift as required for job tasks.

  • Receive shop packets and close them out in the computer database.

  • Record the receipt and issuance of finished goods in the computer database.

  • Investigate quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection teams.

  • Monitor items with shelf-life daily and alert appropriate personnel when material expires.

  • Generate reports highlighting cycle count results and pick-list counts.

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the annual physical inventory.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with production reporting and bills of materials

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift over 40 pounds

  • Proficient in basic computer skills, (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Research), previous experience in MRP system is preferred

  • Excellent basic math skills

  • Ability to be trained in other areas

  • Ability to follow the work schedule, based on production and business needs.

  • Solid work history

  • High School Diploma or GED
