We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Technician to support our client in Johnson county. This position plays a critical role in maintaining GMP compliance, product quality, and customer satisfaction through data analysis, Real SPC (Statistical Process Control) management, and defect monitoring. In the absence of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician will lead and coordinate the activities of the Quality Auditors and may perform Quality Auditor duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Uphold and enforce all safety protocols as outlined in company policies and training.

Execute responsibilities defined in the Quality Manual, Operational Procedures, and Instruction Manuals.

Promote teamwork and compliance within an ISO-certified environment.

Assist with training programs related to quality assurance and systems.

Manage instrument calibration schedules and documentation.

Track, document, and ensure follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.

Participate in internal and external GMP and quality system audits.

Maintain vendor documentation and manage Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

Support development, implementation, and revisions of quality-related policies and procedures.

Identify and quarantine suspect products; escalate issues appropriately.

Approve release of product post Material Review Board disposition.

Provide backup Quality Auditor support and step into lead roles as needed.

Coordinate use and troubleshooting of automated inspection equipment.

Make critical decisions such as halting production when specifications are not met.

Occasional travel to customer, vendor, or related sites.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Pass local Quality Aptitude Test (minimum score 84%) including math and reading comprehension.

Proficient in interpreting histograms, X-bar and R charts.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Must pass a drug screening.

Completion of an accredited SPC (Statistical Process Control) course.

Internal supervisor recommendation if applying from within.

Availability to support both day and night shifts.

Must meet all qualifications required for a Quality Auditor.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Familiarity with Real SPC systems and automated inspection equipment.

Prior leadership or team coordination experience in a QA/QC setting.
