Location: Anoka, MN
Shift: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Pay: $23.00/hr

About this Opportunity: The Order Assembler will utilize a laser etching machine to etch parts, package and label parts according to customer specifications. Count, sort, and examine product, verifying conformance to specifications. Also, properly package and accurately ship orders to the customer utilizing appropriate shipping software.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Support new and existing implementations of lean in stockrooms and throughout the shop floor.

Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed.

Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code, placing materials in the correct predetermined bin location.

Fill requisitions, work orders, and/or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly lines, as needed.

Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, and/or convey orders to the packing station or shipping department.

Mark materials with identifying information.

Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.

Use a computer to enter records.

Maintain inventory records.

Cycle count inventory at predetermined intervals, or as needed.

What makes you a great fit:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred.

Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.

Knowledge and experience working in ERP systems is preferred.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram format required.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to drive a forklift with company provided training/certification.
