Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced candidates for a Commercial Construction Superintendent opportunity in the Dallas, TX area. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with auto dealership construction, but this is not a requirement. This position is a full time, direct hire role that offers full benefits. Travel will be required depending on the location of the projects.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily oversight of a Ground Up and Interior construction job site, including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.

  • Supervise all direct labor positions on the assigned project

  • Manage and oversee any contracted work on the site to ensure successful project completion

  • Assure work quality - set standards for quality control

  • Enforce safety procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in occupied areas as well as ground up. Tilt wall exp a plus as well as any exp in ground up retail.

  • Client oriented

  • Flexible and willing to work within the Texas area

  • 10 years construction experience

  • 4-6 years Ground up and focused exp on Interior space (retail type etc)

  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience (4 years as Assistant Superintendent)

  • Extensive field construction experience at supervisory level

  • Current Safety Training OSHA 10 OR 30 Min preferred with other OSHA certified experience preferred OR Supervisor (STS) Certification

  • Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades), and prior experience as foreman or journeyman in at least one trade, or project engineer

  • Knowledge of OSHA laws

  • Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control

  • Ability in problem-solving

  • Strong sense of urgency
