Our company is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Lead Glazier with expertise in service and repair to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-rise glazing, door repair, glass setting, and wet sealing. The Lead Glazier will be responsible for delivering exceptional repair and service solutions, including emergency after-hours response. This position requires a commitment to punctuality, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass homeland security checks for work in sensitive locations.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Consistently arrive on time for scheduled work hours.
  • Willingly participate in emergency service calls after regular working hours.
  • Measure, cut, and install glass for commercial windows, doors, and storefronts.
  • Perform high-rise glazing tasks, including stage work, wet sealing, and rappelling.
  • Utilize caulking and wet sealing techniques to ensure the integrity and longevity of glass installations.
  • Repair and install commercial doors, ensuring proper functionality and security.
  • Set glass in frames and structures using appropriate materials.
  • Apply caulking and wet sealing techniques for weatherproofing and sealing.
  • Respond to emergency repair calls for broken glass or damaged storefronts.
  • Diagnose and repair glass-related issues, including cracks and scratches.
  • Inspect completed installations for quality and adherence to standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and maintain detailed project records.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a glazier with a focus on service and repair.
  • Proficiency in high-rise glazing techniques, stage work, rappelling, and wet sealing.
  • Strong door repair and glass setting skills.
  • Experience in caulking and wet sealing.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Ability to pass homeland security clearance.
  • Commitment to punctuality and availability for emergency service calls.
  • Ideal pay scale is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
  • Eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours of physical work.
  • Benefits include paid vacation after one year and paid holidays.
  • Insurance coverage is available, but not covered by the company.
