Senior Project Manager  -  Retail, Hotel, Construction C Store Division  

( Fuel/ Gas store construction experience is ideal )

 

 

Role overview

The Senior Project Manager provides overall management direction for assigned projects.  Our company has a GC division for ground up hospitality retail hotel as well as a Fuel Division  ( High end C store) division.   You could oversee projects on both sides.  But we would ideally like to find a candidate with experience building C-stores for large markets. Their responsibilities include ensuring each project is constructed safely, on schedule, within budget and of the highest quality possible. Additional and clarification of responsibilities are noted within the Project Team Procedures Manual. The Project Manager and Project Superintendent are the primary team members on each project  and you could oversee both as well as handle larger or key projects on your own as well. 

 

Responsibilities

•  Help team to Develop a budget for each project utilizing the estimate generated by estimating as a guideline.

• Oversee Buy-out each project: Know the scope of the work for the entire project. Review the contract documents including the contract, drawings, specifications, addenda

o Oversee team  and Buy-out each subcontractor/ subcontract work package and utilize the " Buy-Out” Process.

o Oversee and Define and write the scope of work for each subcontractor and vendor to be hired

o Help with Negotiating  subcontracts / purchase contracts / purchase orders with the subcontractors and vendors

o Help and oversee subcontract / purchase contract / purchase order with assistance from the Project Assistant

o Oversee that your PMs have project “Buy-out” logs

 

• Manage & Oversee the financial aspects of each project including: maintaining a project forecast for each project-forecasts are due at the end of each month; developing cost proposals in a timely manner for the clients as required due to changes or proposed changes; generate billings for the project — submit pay applications / invoices monthly; process all subcontractor and vendor pay applications / invoices

• Hold weekly project meetings with teams and with owners . Meetings include start-up meeting with Owner /

subcontractors, weekly meetings with the subcontractors, other meetings as requested / required. • Ensure teams maintain a project schedule for each project.

• Meet weekly with PMS and Supers to update the Master Schedule and generate weekly the two week look ahead schedule.

• Monitor the construction process to ensure the project is constructed on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest quality possible. Assist the Project Superintendent/provide direction to the Project Superintendent to resolve problems.

• Maintain relationship with the Owner. Ensure all issues of concern are resolved expeditiously.

• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the President OR VP

• Other duties as required

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Construction or related degree or 5+ years of Project Management experience.

 

Preferred Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Construction Engineering preferred or 10+ years of Project Management experience

• PMP Certification

 

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required. As well as PM software.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets

• Strong knowledge of construction materials and processes

 

Pay Commensurate with exp  140-185K plus bonus for the right individual
