BAS / HVAC Controls Technician – Central Texas (Austin & San Antonio)

We are hiring experienced BAS / HVAC Controls Technicians for our growing teams in Austin and San Antonio, Texas. These are full-time, permanent positions working with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and commercial HVAC controls.
Job Summary
The BAS / HVAC Controls Technician is responsible for installing, programming, commissioning, and servicing Building Automation Systems and HVAC control equipment. This role supports commercial buildings, facilities, and mechanical systems across Central Texas.
Responsibilities
Install and service BAS/DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, and field devices.
Program, configure, test, and troubleshoot HVAC control systems.
Perform point-to-point checkout, functional testing, calibration, and equipment startup.
Diagnose and repair issues related to temperature control, airflow, communication networks, and equipment integration.
Modify control logic, load system graphics, and update configuration files as required.
Work with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, or similar communication protocols.
Document work performed and complete service reports accurately.
Provide customer support and on-site system assistance.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience with BAS, HVAC controls, or commercial HVAC systems.
Strong electrical and low-voltage controls wiring skills.
Experience with DDC troubleshooting, BAS logic, and system commissioning.
Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Trane, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Carrier, Distech, or similar.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and control drawings.
Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Skills
BAS programming or graphics experience.
Experience integrating systems through BACnet, Modbus, or other protocols.
Previous commercial mechanical or facilities controls background.
Work Locations

Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday
Occasional overtime based on project needs
Field-based with travel to job sites in the Central Texas region
