job Description: Journeyman Electrician (Low Voltage)
Location: Taylor, Texas
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician with low-voltage experience to join our team. This position focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems on commercial and industrial job sites.
Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair low-voltage systems, including:
Fire alarm systems
Access control systems
Security systems
Data/communications cabling
Low-voltage lighting
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Run and terminate Cat5/Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cables
Install conduit, cable trays, and structured wiring systems
Troubleshoot low-voltage issues and perform corrective repairs
Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and site safety requirements
Work with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License
Experience with low-voltage electrical systems required
Must have OSHA 10
Must pass drug test and background check
Ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, and work in various environments
Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
