Essential Functions
1. Reports:
Work monthly litigation report provided by area manager; code/note Oracle accordingly. Handle Tax Dockets and DWOP hearing dockets.
2. Document Production:
Prepare and E-file Petitions, Amended Petitions, Disclaimers, Notices of Court Docket Settings, Notices of Cancellation, Interventions, and Judgments. Review document information, such as party information, tax account information, and/or property situs/legal description. Prepare, E-file, Code Oracle and ACT and mail out copies of documents to the defendant(s). Upload all documents to suit folder in digital file room.
3. Address Research:
Using various integrated software and internet programs to locate defendants and necessary parties for citation issues, bad address returns, improper parties to suit and bad service returns.
4. Issue Citations/Citation by Posting:
Prepare Citations, E-File, and mail citations to the District Clerk’s Office. Prepare and E-File Citation by Posting and upon issuance prepare Motions & Orders for Appointment of Atty Ad Litem.
5. Forward Out of County Citations:
Mail out of county citations to the appropriate constable or sheriff’s department, attach cover letter, enter costs for citations into oracle.
6. Handle inquiries and/or requests regarding tax account status, payoffs, inquiries regarding suit information and/or payment agreements.
7. Answer tax payer phone calls; Primarily handle inquiries and/or requests from Attorneys, Lienholders, Title Companies etc.
8. All other duties assigned pertaining to assisting taxpayers, attorney, and area managers.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, speak, and listen. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Non-Essential Functions
1. Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office programs.
2. Title, Tax, Appraisal, E-filing and/or Oracle experience

2. Strong Organizational and Problem-Solving skills, Keen Attention to Detail
3. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate on a professional level, both verbal and written, and uphold professional office demeanor and decorum
4. Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
1. Report to Attorney Blair Woodard.
2. Apprise Office Manager/Area Manager Michelle Cox and Area Manager Tonia Murphree with matters concerning legal assistant duties questions pertaining to tax payers/accounts, information related to suits/court dockets, and all other circumstances as they relate to this position.
