Production Operators/Assemblers

The ideal candidate for this role will:  

• Prioritize SAFETY and QUALITY 

• Be responsible for programming and maintenance of Fuji NXTIII Surface Mount Placement (SMT) equipment and other SMT related equipment like AOI, reflow, SPI, conveyance systems among other equipment. 

• Interface custom machine software and vision systems.  

• Follow change management procedures to ensure no uncontrolled changes are made to released equipment. 

• Maintain production equipment:  Includes repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and spare part replacement identification. 

• Possess advanced knowledge of machine line operations, electrical configurations, especially SMT placement equipment software.  

• Uses schematics, machine specifications, manuals and standard operating procedures to solve problems and create logical preventative maintenance schedules.   

• Help drive continuous improvement of the SMT process. 

• Work with engineers and managers for coordination of upgrades, line moves and installations. 

• Have experience with refurbishment of machines and restoration to factory specifications. 

• Assists in the development and refinement of SMT placement programs together with design and engineering to ensure changes are planned and executed in the most efficient and quality oriented manner. 

• Assists in the design and implementation of operational efficiency improvement projects.  

• Assists in performing calibrations on various machines. 

• Assists in performing machine process characterizations to meet plant performance and quality goals. 

• Support efforts to meet plant DPMO, OEE, quality, equipment MTBF goals 

• Be proactive and promote teamwork between the technicians and production operators. 

• Set an example for all in work ethics: skill level, application of said skills, and communications. 

• Document changes to processes and equipment 

• Maintain a proactive stance in dealing with equipment and process. 

• Will be proficient in using computer programs to control electronic or electro-mechanical devices. 

• Be familiar with and use various software packages. 

• Possess the ability to read and interpret drawings, electrical schematics.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 2 to 5 years’ experience in SMT placement equipment programming and/or maintenance role. 

• Strong preference for experience with Fuji NXTIII equipment and related software (e.g. NEXIM, Fuji Flexa, etc.) 

• Analytical skills and problem-solving skills. 

• Good interpersonal skills. 

• Meticulous attention to details with a proactive nature 

• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Suite of software 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS? 

• 5+ years’ experience 

• Knowledge and familiarity with ERP systems 

• Electronic/electrical certifications 

• Experience with automation equipment
