Co-Staff is looking to add to our client's team in East Troy, WI! This company is looking for candidates that offer solid attendance, attitude, and the eagerness to grow within the company!

Shift:

1st Shift: 7am - 3pm Monday through Friday

2nd Shift: 3pm - 11pm Monday through Friday

3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am Sunday through Thursday

Pay: $18 - $24/hour

Position Summary

Position performs a variety of operator tasks within a shift to assemble and repair tools and components

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lay out, fit, and assemble parts to make and repair tools, dies, mandrels and other components.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock to lay out for machining by other workers.
  • Operate drill press to drill and tap holes in parts.
  • Inspect tooling and position and secure parts. • Assemble parts into product and verify dimensions and alignments.
  • Grind and polish tools and perform parts degreasing.
  • Operate various power and hand tools.
  • Operate acetylene torch for cutting and heating purposes.
  • Hazardous waste management • Lift 80 lbs. bottom breakdown rolls with assistance.
  • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Train and assist new personnel as requested. • Use of standard safety equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

Two-year Associates Degree or certificate from vocational school in tool and die or related field with one year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills

  • Maintain knowledge of production equipment operations.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form. Page 2 of 2 • Perform basic problem solving.
  • Complete documentation and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Maintain quality control standards.
  • Knowledge of safe plant operations and the recognition of common safety hazards.
  • Knowledge to take precautions to establish and maintain a safe work environment
  • Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environment with high heat and humidity for prolonged period

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may perform light-moderate work in variable indoor conditions; extreme ambient conditions may occur per weather conditions: May perform work in non-temp controlled conditions; wet; possible slippery or uneven surfaces; dust, noise, vibration.

Physical Demands

Lift/carry 11-50 lbs. of tools, components, and dies, push/pull up to 50 lbs. of tooling tree carts, handle/grasp tools, components, dies, stand while operating tools, degreasing parts, walk short distances between work areas, sit as details work and polishing dies, balance, climb, bend/twist, occasionally while operating tools may kneel, squat, and reach
