General Labor for Manufacturing On the Bus Line!

Position Overview: To perform physical labor in a factory setting for a meat processing company.

Specific Duties:

  • Follow all appropriate SOP’s and GMP’s for your assigned area.

  • Complete all assigned tasks and shifts as assigned according to production requirements.

  • Must follow all safety guidelines and wear all required safety gear ensuring a safe work environment for you and your co-workers.

  • Must be trained in SQF and all additional training as required.

  • Fulfill other duties and assignments as assigned

 

Essential Job Functions:

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED with experience in related field preferred in a high volume manufacturing. Demonstrated experience and strong commitment to meeting internal customer requirements and continuous improvement objectives.

 

Language: Ability to read and understand documents and procedure manuals.

 

Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, organize, and prioritize workload, excellent internal customer service skills

 

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. To perform assigned duties the following will occur: Standing on ones feet for long periods of time, walking, and lifting. The employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.

 

Safety and Potential Job Hazards: Slips, trips and falls; Cuts, lacerations, pinches; Amputations; Electrical shock; Strains; Flying debris; Kickbacks from machines. All safety gear must be properly worn and all safety rules must be followed to assist in avoiding the above potential injuries. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

 

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a cold, wet environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually below 85 db for a time weighted average of 8 hours. The wearing of hearing protection is required.
