We are recruiting now for an HR and Payroll Coordinator for a successful company in Ridgeland, SC!


The Human Resources / Payroll Coordinator is passionate about employee benefits, payroll and recruiting. The individual will be highly efficient, organized, responsible, reliable, and willing to regularly contribute to making our company a better place to work. This position is also directly responsible for the accurate processing of bi - weekly payroll for all employees.



  • Ability to help develop, implement, support, and review all Human Resource Department initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems

  • Compliance with all policies and legal requirements

  • Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential

  • Prepare new employee files, and maintain all employee files, records, etc. Develop and maintain administrative filing/tracking systems for organizing documents and reports.

  • Assist with HR document gathering for annual audits and certifications



  • Partner with Plant Management to develop and execute recruitment strategies as well as day - to - day tactics to attract and hire high quality candidates

  • Establish and maintain a local employment brand presence, including but not limited to job fairs, hire days, and partnering with other community resources.

  • Utilize applicant tracking system (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.), recruit employees by posting open positions on company and external websites to attract qualified applicants.

  • Appropriately and accurately track candidate progress as they progress through the hiring process.

  • Continued involvement in and refinement of the recruitment process, including generating job descriptions, posting advertisements, and managing the hiring process


  • Maintain an in - depth understanding of all company - sponsored benefit programs and eligibility requirements

  • Respond (e - mail, phone) to employee inquiries regarding benefits questions, policies, procedures, and programs to ensure quick and courteous resolution

  • Update Payroll/HROI for employee mid - year benefit plan elections, deductions and EOI approvals

  • Assist with the annual benefits open enrollment



  • Produce timely and accurate payroll - includes all interface and payroll processing activities

  • Respond to employee inquires and take appropriate action ensuring timely review and resolution of issues

  • Manage work flow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately

  • Review data imported from time and attendance systems, including time sheets and time off notifications to ensure accurate transfer of hours worked and pay owed

  • Process payrolls including entering exceptions, garnishments and other earnings or deductions

  • Obtain, verify and process all payroll changes and updates from managers or HR including new hires, terminations, transfers and salary

  • Maintain database of current employees in timekeeping system


Education/Skill/Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. The proper candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ideal candidate will be detail - oriented, organized and a self - starter. Knowledge of excel and computer literacy is required. The candidate must be flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities. Prior experience with HR administrative type work is required. Experience with HROI/Timeco is preferred, but not required.


Requirements to apply for Job:

In the Event of Absence:

In the event of absence, the Plant Manager will assume Plant HR functions. The US Controller will assume payroll processing duties.
