WAREHOUSE MANAGER--1st Shift

$75K -$80K (Direct Hire Position)

 

As a Warehouse Manager, you will directly impact the quality of our warehouse operation by hiring and on-boarding talent as well as maintaining accountability to critical processes. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Manager helps lead all warehousing activities, including but not limited to the order selection process.

  • Supervises the staff and daily activities of the warehouse; responsible for establishing work schedules, assigning jobs, training staff, coaching, counseling, performance management;

  • Maintains and promotes a customer centric atmosphere in the facility; creates a culture that supports high employee morale.

  • Implements and follows all food quality inspection policies, guidelines, and practices.

  • Monitors and maintains an accurate inventory; Controls customer inventory level by supervising all aspects of the shipping/receiving process; including but not limited to coordinating unloading of inbound shipments, picking and staging of timed outbound shipments, verifying required shipping paperwork and meeting timed loads and outbound schedules. 

  • Develops and implements timely customer deliveries.

  • Trains and monitors execution of proper procedures for all warehouse production and office functions; Assesses and trains associates in picking, packing and the pack/hold process including the weighing and manifesting of outbound orders

  • Investigates and determines root cause of complaints, providing process improvement as necessary to prevent repeat occurrence.

  • Maintains required accuracy and production standards.

  • Promotes a safe and clean facility that is tour ready at all times.

  • Addresses associate issues and concerns according to established company guidelines.

  • Achieves established KPIs.

  • Oversees the proper maintenance of all equipment in the facility.

  • Oversees and maintains the condition and maintenance of the building and grounds.

  • Maintains required security safeguards and security.

  • Communicates with DC manager and associated corporate departments.

  • Understands and provides leadership support for safety and security within the warehouse

  • Establishes metrics and sets up and communicates shipping and through-put performance.

  • Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, appraising, and coaching supervisor-level team members and provides disciplinary action.

  • Insures compliance with all Company policies, as well as all Federal, State and Local OSHA regulations.

  • Works with production supervisors to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.

  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if requested. 

  • Additional supervisory duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with commensurate experience is required; Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Previous warehouse management is required; 6-8 years experience with 3-5 years manager experience preferred; experience in leading successful teams.

  • Knowledge of principles and successful experience with inventory control, logistics and distribution; experience in distribution and/or transportation preferred.

  • Forklift certified.

  • Experience with WMS system and RF capabilities.

  • Knowledge of time systems, inventory systems, WMS.

  • Ability to move/lift 50 lbs at various times over a 12 hour shift, basic math and reading skills.

  • Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidays.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislations, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.

Hours:

Shift: 1st Shift Must be flexible

Days: Monday –Friday, some weekends
