Maintenance Technician

Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, patient-care-focused Maintenance Technician to work for a hospital system in Houston, Texas. Must have a minimum of Two (2) years of RECENT experience in facility sanitation, housekeeping, and general maintenance repairs.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general facility sanitation, housekeeping, maintenance repairs, and office moves as directed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists all other maintenance staff and works as part of a team while performing duties.
• Performs routine housekeeping tasks.
• Must be able to routinely lift to 30 lbs.
• Maintain and control the floor scrubber program.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
• The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations, and potential temperature deviations.
• Works closely with and supports the Maintenance Lead.
• May be required to work on off shifts and/or weekends.
• Must be available for call-in activity.
• Other duties and responsibilities that may be directed by management depend on work priorities.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Required
• Must have a minimum of Two (2) years of RECENT experience in facility sanitation, housekeeping, and general maintenance repairs.
• Must be able to work independently or within a team environment
• Must have a broad knowledge of hand tools and maintenance equipment.
• Job requires a high degree of reliability.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Full time position- 3:00 pm – 12:30 am 
• $15/hr + benefits
• Full benefits – healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program.
