Job Summary
Set up and operate all hand tools required for installing, maintaining, and adjusting all types of locks, fastening devices, and related hardware for steel doors and windows.
Essential Functions

Works on products using drills, saws, screw guns, air tools, wrenches, grinders, spray equipment, sanders or other tools as needed. Installs prefabricated window, door, finish hardware such as locks, latches, handles, wheels on sliders, weather strip, friction hinges, bi-fold hardware and other miscellaneous hardware.

Check the locks when received from the vendor, its fit for performance, & quantities per PO. Communicate client and buyer for its discrepancy, if any.

Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensures safe operation of all equipment.

Works on special projects and performs other duties as needed. (5-10%)
Knowledge and Abilities

Able to interpret instructions both written and oral.

Good measurement skills with the ability to measure to 1/32 of an inch.

Basic math skills, counting, adding, subtracting, and multiplying simple numbers.

Experience with hand tools and power tools as required.

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the lockset field.

Able to read and work from plans, drawings & blueprints such as supplier’s catalog for locks and their components.

Able to maintain a 70% production efficiency rating.

Able to maintain an error rate of less than 5%.

Able to work with some supervision, 30% or less of schedule.
