Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

Bilingual (English and Spanish) required

Leadership skills to mentor and drive the HR team forward

Ability to maintain confidentiality as required

Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct presentations, facilitate meetings and provide training

Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the company and vendors

Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, build trust and confidence with management and employees

Ability to be sensitive to other’s needs/feelings with empathy and the ability to take an objective position when gathering facts regarding sensitive matters

Knowledge of federal and state laws including benefits, employment, wage and hour regulations, ADA, EEO, NLRB, leaves of absence (FMLA/USERRA), safety practices

Possess excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to accept criticism, and to deal with high stress situations calmly and effectively

Ability to work independently including the ability to research and resolve issues with minimal supervision

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude to promote a great working environment

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadline

Equipment Knowledge:

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience with Outlook, Teams portal

Experience with HRIS, preferably Paycom (time and attendance, benefits, position management, talent acquisition, compliance)

Experience Requirements:

Generally, requires a minimum of 8+ years’ experience in progressively responsible human resource roles, and at least 6 years in a supervisory role in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills; leading and developing other HR professionals. Experience working in a corporate or large organization environment, logistics, distribution preferred.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Organizational Management or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) a plus
