A successful RF/Microwave Technician requires:

• 5+ years of RF/Microwave technician experience in a manufacturing environment.

• The ability to understand standard RF test measurements and a familiarity with RF test equipment, including but not limited to: Spectrum analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, and Power Meters.

Strong electronics knowledge is required to logically troubleshoot.

• A basic understanding of assembly and production processes.

• Must be able to work with small hand tools and work with a microscope for extended lengths of time. • Requires the ability to sit or stand at a work bench for extended periods of time. May be required to lift up to 25lbs.

• Must be able to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions in the English language.

• Must be able to write clear descriptions of problems found during test procedures. Required Experience:

• Soldering skills

• Experience tuning or testing S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-Band amplifiers

• Knowledge of standard RF test parameters i.e., gain, power, VSWR, intermodulation distortion, and harmonics.

• Production test, alignment and calibration of electronic and/or microwave systems and subassemblies.

Experience tuning solid-state power amplifiers and microwave upconverter assemblies.

• Requires knowledge of soldering techniques, color codes, component ID and production prints.



Responsibilities: The Technician will work from procedures, schematics, diagrams and written and verbal descriptions to perform routine testing, tuning and troubleshooting functions of Radio frequency and microwave circuits. The job will range from moderately complex to complex operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment to ensure conformance with final product specs. The technician will use diagnosing skills related to power supply designs and knowledge of serial/Ethernet monitor and control interface.


Equipment: oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters.

Pay based on direct experience. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $25.15 - $35.56 per hour * Test equipment functions such as signal strength and quality, transmission capacity, interference, and signal delay, using equipment such as oscilloscopes, circuit analyzers, frequency meters, and wattmeters.
