IT Service Desk Support Specialist

We are seeking an IT Support Analyst to join our team! You will analyze data processing problems to improve computer systems while working to support end users.

 

Pay rate: $25.00

 

Hours: Mon – Friday with possible weekends Normal Business hours

 

  • Weekend and off hours/holiday work required as needed for implementation of new systems, changes to the production environment, maintenance, extended business hours support and/or outages.

  • Some travel may be required, to include but not limited to 10%.

 

Tops Skills

 

  • Windows 7 & XP, Office 2010 suite

  • Windows 2003/2008 Server environment

  • Familiarity with SQL queries and ability to run ad-hoc report requests from business users using Oracle "Toad" sql Developer reporting application

  • Can communicate technical information to others both via email and over the phone

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Review and track tickets using Service Now. Strong documentation skills regarding issues.

  • Ask probing questions to understand and diagnose source or error from end users

  • Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations

  • Set up and configure all wireless devices, print servers, network accounts (AD, ADSI, Exchange servers, WMS servers etc..)

  • Assist with creating network folders on local file servers, setup maintain local printer connections on print servers. Adjust and maintain file server space issues.

  • Support and manage printers within Oracle Applications; troubleshoot Oracle printer issues

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Manhattan’s Warehouse Management System (WMS – SCALE).

  • Support Tech Services service software testing and work with the team to coordinate updates accordingly

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle applications issues, involving such modules as Work in Process, Customer Support and Inventory.

  • Manage 1st level Oracle support team which includes Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) modules, TOAD reporting (SQL Automation)

  • Support Audio/Visual and conference rooms, support hardware and network systems, phone, projector and video conference equipment

  • Writes or revises user instruction materials relevant to supported user base.

  • Responsible for primary IT support of facility; escalate issues when necessary to appropriate peers.

  • Handles project-oriented tasks for service related improvements, enhancements and changes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or a related discipline required

  • Associates Degree with additional experience will be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT, computer science, or other related fields

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification is required

  • Microsoft training or certification MCSE, ISA experience and/or Cisco desirable; Oracle-related certifications a plus.
