Pharmacy Customer Support - Call Center

A pharmaceutical company is looking for someone with a passion for helping people to join our team as a Customer Care Advocate. This role needs a person who is enthusiastic and professional speaking with customers to assist them with receiving their prescriptions. If you have a background in customer service or support and are comfortable working in a collaborative call center environment, this could be a great opportunity for you!

 

Job Duties:

- Answer telephone promptly and in a professional manner, using opening dialogue scripting

- Enter accurate patient & prescription information into order management software systems

- Answer questions and offer information to provide patient-focused service and a positive impression of the company

- Maintain confidentiality with sensitive pharmacy information following HIPAA guidelines

- Act as liaison between patients and pharmacies

- Direct calls to other departments as needed

- Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially with upset patients

- Understand when to escalate calls to a supervisor

- Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

- 2 years of relevant customer service experience

- Previous experience in a high volume call center environment

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally on the phone

- Ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds

- Ability to work in a “call center” environment: work quickly and multi-task

- Demonstrate good customer service care for patients, clients, and sales and marketing

- Capability to organize and prioritize work, and manage multiple priorities

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, letters, memos and emails

- Attention to detail and good analytical skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively

- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
