Job Title: Forklift Driver
Pay Rate: $20/hr.
Shift: 8PM - 6AM (Monday - Wednesday)
Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D , PSL
Job Summary:
The Shipper is responsible for accurately preparing, verifying, and loading outgoing shipments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled safely and efficiently. This position plays a key role in maintaining the flow of finished product from production to delivery, while upholding the client’s commitment to quality, safety, and on-time performance.
Key Responsibilities:
? Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments by comparing items, quantities, and lot numbers to shipping documentation.
? Load finished products safely and securely onto trailers using forklifts or pallet jacks.
? Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
? Prepare and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents.
? Operate forklift and other material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with company policy.
? Inspect trailers prior to loading to ensure they are clean, safe, and suitable for product transport.
? Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with company safety standards.
? Communicate any shipment discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
? Assist with inventory counts and product staging as needed.
? Follow all OSHA and the client safety procedures, including PPE and equipment checks.
Qualifications:
? High school diploma or GED preferred.
? 1+ year of experience in shipping, warehouse, or distribution preferred.
? 3+ years Forklift certification (sit-down)
? Basic computer and RF scanner skills.
? Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Work Environment:
? Warehouse environment; exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
? Must wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, etc.).
