Responsibilities • Safety Program Management • OSHA Compliance • Safety Program Weekly Training Presentations • Manage safety training programs and certifications (Haz-Mat, DG, CTPAT, OSHA) • Safety Management System Administration • Accident Reporting, Investigation and Countermeasure Resolution • Completion of related SHE/ESG reports, projects, tasks, cost analysis reports • Facilities operations maintenance, both interior and exterior, vendor relations • The HR Safety Training Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment / Environmental, Social, Governance) Specialist is responsible for consistently executing and administering the SHE/ESG programs/policies of MPMI and Mobis HQ • Some SHE/ESG tasks and projects would include: MPMI/HQ Safety Programs, Safety Training, Safety Certifications, ensuring company compliance with all local, state, federal SHE laws/regulations, OSHA compliance, ensuring staff compliance of all company policies and procedures, participating in Safety Audits, Accident Investigations, Accident Reports, Countermeasure Resolution, Physical Security Audits, Physical Security Administration, Parking Lot Security, and Visitor Security • Ensure all company SHE/ESG policies and procedures comply with local, state, federal laws • Ensure staff compliance with all SHE/ESG policies and procedures • Manage legal compliance of all inspections by local, state, federal authorities • Assist in management in all areas of facility maintenance and repairs: exterior/interior, structural, mechanical, and electrical • Conduct haz-mat, dangerous goods and operational control process audits and assessments • Recommend countermeasures to protect staff from hazardous working conditions, policies, procedures, or materials • Manages SDS/MSDS system and inspection compliance • Participate in accident investigations to identify root cause and recommend countermeasures • Conduct Safety Management Systems (SMS) audits, inspections, Environmental Management Systems (EMS) audits, inspections, tasks, and monthly SHE inspections • Assist with reporting data to Global SHE Platform • Assist with training of new staff on proper, safe use of powered lift trucks, and other industrial equipment
• Complete all HQ SHE/ESG tasks and projects as assigned
• All other duties as assigned
• Prepare letters, memos, and reports upon request
• Answer the position specific phone calls
• Coordinate with position specific external vendors as needed
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion • Often move about inside the office, warehouse, to access machinery, boxes, and materials etc
• Constantly operates a computer, laptop, tablet, camera and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Engineering, SCM, or related fields + 5 years on the job practical experience • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) • Registered Environmental Manager (REM) • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification • Sigma Six Certified • OSHA 30 Hour GI Certification • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint) • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations • Knowledge of OSHA 300/300A reporting process • Knowledge of industrial warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach-trucks • Ability to provide motivation and counseling to employees • Task focused with high sense of urgency • Ability to exchange accurate information with employees and managers • Strong team player/good at working with others • Ability to effectively manage multiple changing priorities simultaneously • Self-starter, takes initiative, can research or benchmark to find best practices • Must be able to remain standing for an 8 hour shift • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist-high • Must be able to use ladders up to 20 feet in height • Miami, FL 33182 (Required) • Miami, FL 33182: Relocate before starting work (Required) Benefits • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance A few things to look for: 1.
