Business Development Manager

Innovo Staffing, an innovative and dynamic Accounting & Finance staffing firm is hiring a Business Development (BD) Manager in New York City. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development of new business, identifying and recruiting professionals for open job positions and cultivating existing client and candidate relationships.

The optimal candidate must have a proven track record in professional sales, leadership and relationship building. Although this role will offer rewarding opportunities, it will also be extremely demanding. This position will manage client and candidate relationships as well as actively seek out new business opportunities. The BD manager will develop sales opportunities within their own book of business to continue to grow the firm. Previous sales and staffing experience would provide a strong foundation for this role. Candidates must have a strong ability to work in a team culture and to consistently meet and exceed the accountabilities noted below, which are crucial aspects of this role. A proven ability to work in a high energy, fast-paced environment is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Building and managing a specific book of business

  • Drive business development efforts to align with the vision and overall objectives of Innovo

  • Interview, source and represent current and prospective candidates in opportunities that will continue to enhance their career objectives

  • Responsible for consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals and objectives for the firm

  • Accountable for driving the business in a direction that ensures financial targets are met or exceeded on a consistent basis

  • Project oriented, analytical thinker open to communicating new ideas and strategies

  • Work in a team-oriented environment while still acting in an independent, leadership capacity

  • Join professional networking organizations to represent Innovo in the New York marketplace

  • Exude leadership and professionalism at all times and in all situations

Applicant Requirements:

  • BS in accounting, finance or other related business field

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience

  • Previous business and client development experience in a professional sales environment

  • Prior expertise in accounting or financial related fields

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • Strong client and candidate follow up

  • Dedication to the candidates you represent in their job search

  • Creativity and ideas to differentiate yourself in the recruiting industry

  • Solid interpersonal skills

  • Ability to meet and exceed sales objections

  • Ability to contribute and succeed in a team based culture
