Interim Assistant Controller

Interim Controller needed for Media organization in New York city.

Candidates must be hands on, have a minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience and have a blend of Public and Private Industry accounting experience. 

Responsibilities include:

• All day-to-day accounting and financial reporting oversight and management

• Financial reporting, profitability analysis and overall financial guidance to management team and investors

• Functional management of the accounting staff (both financial and operational)

• Review and establish the accounting team staff functions including reviews of existing staff and future organizational growth plans

Applicant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration required.

• CPA required

• A minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting tenure, with a blend of Public and Private Industry accounting experience

• Prior experience working in a start-up or venture capital backed environment a plus

• Successful finance leadership experience

• Solid financial modeling and quantitative analytics

• Strong leadership skills

• Demonstrated understanding of business operations and how the financial system interrelates with funding, capital structures and cash management

• Understanding business risks and impact to bottom-line.
