Immediate opportunity for an Electrical Lead Field Engineer Construction Manager to join a major construction effort in Prince George’s County. The Electrical Lead Field Engineer Construction Manager will plan and manage work for electrical and lighting design, construction, testing, and commissioning. Ideal candidates will possess sound technical/business judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of project management activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee major design and/or construction subcontractors

  • Participate in design coordination meetings between sub-contractor and other designers

  • Coordinate with other field work to enable effective implementation of electrical and lighting systems, including Maintenance of Traffic services

  • Support design, installation, and testing of electrical and lighting systems

  • Manage and coordinate subcontractor field work with other contractors and across multiple construction work zones

  • Perform site reviews as required to manage work

  • Interact and manage sub-contractor work related to design and construction activities Review monthly man-hour reports

  • Review and sign off on monthly pay applications

  • Review and sign off on monthly schedule progress reports

  • Review design submissions to include comment and verification per Concessionaire Design Quality Plan

  • Review Contractor 4 week look ahead work schedules

  • Review, provide comment and manage the closure process for submittals and RFIs

  • Support development and execution of Test Program and provide all necessary documentation for applicable:

    • Qualification tests;

    • Factory demonstration tests;

    • Installation tests

    • Performance and Integration tests

  • Interface with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and stakeholders

  • Meet with the client on design concerns related to interface with Utility Suppliers

 

Requirements:

  • Accredited four-year degree in applicable field of study

  • 5-10 years of work-related experience

  • Experience with transit rail design, construction, testing, and commissioning is preferred
