Position- Mechanical Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble and build quality sub-assembly parts for packaging and processing equipment.
Troubleshoot and test functional performance of sub-assemblies (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic) and parts under specified environmental conditions such as temperature change, vibration, pressure and humidity.
Operate, test, and crate machinery for shipment to customers
Report problems with quality, process, equipment and material to production manager.
Confer with engineers, technicians, production personnel and others to resolve any problems.
Perform and execute quality workmanship on sub-assembly and overall work area.
Education and/or Experience:
At least two (2) years experience in building mechanical or electrical machines.
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude to assemble, test and troubleshoot equipment.
Other Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to work independently or with a team.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical problems.

Solid communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas.

Physical Demands: Must be able to fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to smell; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to climb ladders up to 20 feet.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is infrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. There may be exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. In the summertime the ambient temperature can be hot.
Time- 5am - 2pm / 6am -3pm ( 2nd shift offered eventually)
