Position- Shelter Advocate

Hours/ Schedule-

Fulltime overtime- Sunday - Thursday (11:30pm - 7:15am)

Fulltime Overtime- Tuesday- Saturday ( 12:30pm-8:00am)

Part-time ( all shifts; priority for overnight, evening, and/ or weekend availability )

pay- $14 to $17 an hour

Interview- 3 part interview ( one in person and two virtual)

Job Description-

Overnight- very thorough guide to follow. Needs to be the type to get in and follow guidelines but figure it out/ ask questions when they are not sure. They won’t be hand held.

Shift: 11:30, or 12:30 to 7:15, or 8am

Hired one FT person, ideally they don’t want someone alone but it is a possibility. Goal is to hire another FT advocate.

3, 8 hour shifts- Sunday nights for sure, if just temporary

Temp to hire or Direct Hire is ideal – FT if that route Wed- Saturday, 30 hours (FT for them)

Overnight is less interactive with clients, house or support the advocates office. If resident needs support they go to the this person. Run & support crisis line, less call volume during this time. Monitor gate, less coming & going during this time but it is possible. Not full, at lower capacity.

If they identify as a survivor, they are at a point that they won’t be traumatized/ good self-care & boundaries before stepping into this role.

Pretty interesting group, most around a year in. high turnover when they made a move in policies/re-brand. Team now is excited/ energized, healthy level of interactions w/ clients & team. Was toxic in past w/ cliques, that is gone now. Strong communication with the team too. Culture of trust.Interested?
