LG Resources is now hiring for a Heavy Equipment supervisor in Lindon for one of our valued clients.
We are looking for an ideal candidate who will start the operation of rolling and milling machines to flatten, temper, form, and reduce sheet metal sections and produce steel strips. Your responsibilities will include examining, inspecting, and measuring raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
Pay: $75,000/year
Hours: 6:30 am-5 pm M-F Bi-weekly pay
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Direct and train other workers to change rolls, operate mill equipment, remove coils and cobbles, and band and load material.
-Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate product defects
-Signal and assist other workers in removing and positioning equipment, filling hoppers, and feeding materials into machines.
-Read rolling orders, blueprints, and mill schedules to determine setup specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and installation procedures.
-Record mill production on schedule sheets.
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts
-Knowledge of equipment and their uses
EXPERIENCE
-Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities
-Minimum one year of related experience
-Ability to occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
-Frequently be around excessive noise and vibrations
-Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
-Must be able to dust, grease/oil machinery
