Job Title: Greenhouse Delivery Driver Job Summary: As a Greenhouse Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting plants, flowers, and gardening supplies from our greenhouse facility to various destinations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining the quality and condition of our products. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude. Responsibilities: Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, including vans or trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload plants, flowers, and gardening supplies onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit. Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with greenhouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery times and locations. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering orders promptly and courteously, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally. Inspect delivered items for accuracy, quality, and condition, and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, invoices, and delivery logs. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness, and report any issues to management. Follow proper procedures for the disposal of packaging materials and waste at delivery sites. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, cleanliness, and professional conduct at all times. Qualifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws and routes. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading deliveries. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and documenting deliveries. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet delivery deadlines. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Stamina to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
