Our client is a 59-year-old full-service electrical contracting firm specializing in the design and installation of industrial process control systems. They have an immediate opening for an experienced Electric/Automation Controls Technician.
Design, build, troubleshoot and repair computerized systems in the industrial environment.
Troubleshoot all type of controls with a digital multi-meter and machine documentation, mechanical drawings, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
Experience required in hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers, electrical circuits, electrical machinery and human-machine interfaces.
Good analytic skills are essential to understand control systems and isolate problems.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Excel, SQL, PLC, HMI and SCADA programming software.
Some travel required for startup or troubleshooting of control system.
High school diploma or GED required.
Possess mechanical aptitude, and the ability to learn independently.
Good analytic, communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer skills required.
Background/drug screen and valid driver’s license are required.
$20/hr entry-level to $25-35/hr for exp'd. Hourly position eligible for OT.
Hours 8-5pm M-F.
