Position: Facilities Maintenance

Shift: 1st shift, 6:00AM-18:00PM Monday to Thursday

Pay: $23.39 hourly

Location: Indianapolis IN ( PARK100)

 

Position Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general cleanup of the plant; The monitoring of production support equipment and its maintenance schedules. Recognize, analyze, and communicate potential failures i production support equipment to include steam, compressed air, soft water system, reverse osmosis, wastewater, and refrigeration.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.

  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

  • Receives bulk gas deliveries of chemicals.

  • Facilities ground maintenance.

  • Facilities storm water pollution prevention.

  • Office maintenance.

  • Janitorial duties.

  • Lighting repair and maintenance.

  • Building repairs.

  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures when necessary.

  • Plumbing using either copper, PVC, or other materials.

  • Operates floor scrubber.

  • Maintenance of UV filtration sweetener silos.

  • Monitoring and recording of refrigerator system data points.

  • Performs boiler chemistry tests.

  • Monitoring and recording of boiler system data points.

  • Monitoring and recording of wastewater system data points.

  • Monitoring and recording of the reverse osmosis system data points.

  • Troubleshoots production support equipment operations and recognizes potential failures.

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.

  • Regular and punctual attendance. o Keep tools and work area clean and sanitary.

  • Other duties as assigned at discretion of management.

  • Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required to perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily.

 

Experience for Success:

  • Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical.

  • Basic knowledge of boilers and steam generators.

  • Basic knowledge of air compressors.

  • Basic knowledge of RO and water softening systems.

  • Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment systems.

  • Understanding the principles of preventative and predictive maintenance

  • Able to troubleshoot production support equipment operations and recognize potential failures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret written information.

  • Strong ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers.

  • Have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as working in a team.

  • Demonstrates attention to detail, a professional attitude, and produces accurate work product.

  • Must be proactive.

  • Must have a cooperative attitude.

  • Must have the ability to follow-up.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • 1-year related experience and/or training.

  • Forklift certification, required.

  • Boom Lift Certification, required.

  • Scissor Lift Certification required.

The employee must regular push, pull, and/or lift 10 pounds, frequently push, pull, and/or lift 30 pounds, and occasionally push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operate machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach.
