Salary Range: $22.50-$23.50/hr Shift: 1st shift, 6am-3pm, Monday-Friday 2nd shift, 2:15pm-12:30am, Monday-Thursday The Quality Assurance Technician’s role will be performed in a fast-paced, food manufacturing facility. The QA Technician will be responsible for performing periodic QA checks on the production lines, enforcing GMPs, and helping to maintain the SQF quality system. The right candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and have a commitment to personnel and food safety. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Perform frequent QA checks for the production lines. Verify and organize production, warehouse, and QA paperwork from the previous day. Sanitation visual checks, verification ATP swabbing, and allergen swabbing. Ensure proper receiving procedures are followed in the warehouse. Assist with monthly sampling as needed. Perform post operation checks to ensure lines are shut down properly and housekeeping is completed. Assist production personnel as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education & Experience Required: High School Diploma or GED is required Minimum 1 year experience in a QA/QC or production operation role. Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOPs and QA paperwork. SQF or other food safety code experience is a plus but not a requirement. Ability to manage responsibilities with limited supervision. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not a requirement. Skills for Success: Knowledge of performing QA/QC checks in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to work independently while performing all job duties with limited supervision. Must have ability to understand oral and written instructions in English and Spanish is a plus. Must have excellent job performance and attendance records. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Organized and attention to detail. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must be able to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Must be able to lift at least 25lbs for short periods of time. This role is for a position in a food manufacturing facility. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are to be followed which include the need to wear hair/beard nets, safety shoes, and a uniform shirt. Restrictions on piercings, fake nails/eyelashes, and jewelry are in place as well. The production facility is not climate controlled and 100% of the time will be spent in the production areas.
