Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client are NOW HIRING a full-time Journeyman Electrician in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area! Salary Range: $38-$46/hr, $79,040-$95,680 per year Shift: 1st Shift – 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday (Weekend work, early starts, or late ending times may be required.) The Journeyman Electrician’s role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with local and national codes within the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on a variety of projects. Job Duties & Responsibilities: • Install, repair, maintain, and test manufacturing plant electrical systems. • Use industry related hand tools and power tools. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceways. • Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, switch gears. • Splice and terminate wires at junction points. • Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems. • Assist with training Electrician Helper. • Communicate effectively with Supervisor and crew members. • Install and maintain all plant and distribution center high bay lighting and office lighting. • Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Plant productivity objectives are met. • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues. • Adhere to all company safety and quality policies and procedures. • All other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Required: • Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license or 5+ years industry experience. • Ability to install 3 phase power systems • Ability to build and install control panels and provide maintenance to systems. • Experience using Electrical Single Line blueprints. • Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits. • Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations. • Experience helping with the management of a project and crew. • Ability to manage material estimates. • Demonstrate strong leadership and pre-planning abilities. • Ability to work with 120VAC to 480VAC 3 phase electrical systems Physical Demands: • Lift 50 lbs from the ground and pull 50 lbs of force. • Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling. • Fully squat, stoop or kneel. • Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions. • Work off ladders, man lifts or reach booms • Working Environment: While performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to: o A variety of weather conditions include cold, snow, rain, heat, etc. o High noise levels o Continuous walking throughout the plant and distribution center. o May be required to work with high voltage electricity. o Must possess visual acuity to document company records. o Must be able to work extended hours, such as possible daily overtime and an occasional weekend Follow Pro Talent Group on Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn for up-to-date job postings!
