Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Manger, the Storeroom Attendant will be responsible for identifying and dispensing stockroom parts, receiving and storing inbound parts orders, writing requisitions, and recording parts usage.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine inventory counts, generating orders for stockroom parts, updating maintenance work orders, and organizing and maintaining storage areas and filing of paperwork.
Position Responsibilities
• Data entry: Work orders/Notifications, maintenance of multiple tracking. spreadsheets. Ensures proper filing and organization of all department paperwork.
• Purchasing Duties – monitors department needs, creates purchase requisitions, places order, interacts with vendors routinely.
• Completes Accounts Payable requests in a timely manner.
• Purchases items at local stores with company purchasing card as requested.
• Receiving Duties – physically and systematically (SAP) receives inbound materials, ensures items are delivered and/or stored in appropriate locations.
• Performs regular physical inventory counts of storeroom parts using an RF scanner.
• Ensures parts storage areas are organized, clean and all items labeled appropriately.
• Monitors and coordinates need of the vendor provided vending machine, maintaining employee access to machine.
• Drives company vehicles (Truck, golf cart, forklift) as required for deliveries and item pickups, both on company property and off company property.
• Regularly communicates all issues verbally or by email.

Position Requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, Department Leads and multiple vendors/delivery personnel.
• Ideal candidate will have 3 years’ experience in computerized stockroom ordering and inventory, are familiar with computerized inventory systems, and maintenance parts for manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team driven atmosphere.
• Ability to wear all appropriate PPE.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak in English.
• Must be able to operate or able to learn how to operate a forklift. Must successfully complete Powered Industrial Truck Certification Training within one month after hire.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and measurement principles.
• Must have intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel. SAP knowledge preferred.
• Strong team player - good communication (written and verbal), follow-up skills, attention to detail and the ability to train others.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
