Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician supports the maintenance area in all aspects of manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:
- Measure accurately using tape measures and calipers.
- Use oxygen/acetylene torch and plasma cutter proficiently.
- Perform arc welding in various positions and types of joints.
- Operate band saws, drills, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other shop equipment.
- Replace or repair bearings and related parts.
- Conduct minor wiring repairs and replace equipment parts following instructions.
- Repair and set up molds to company standards.
- Understand plant equipment, location, and names.
- Follow safety requirements for maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Start or jog equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to solve machinery problems.
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
- Attend safety meetings and adhere to all safety rules.
- Report and correct hazardous conditions.
- Ensure predictable and regular attendance.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Two years of welding and machinery maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of industrial electricity is beneficial.
- Ability to operate forklifts, drill presses, welders, angle grinders, hand tools, and other equipment.
- On-the-job training experience required.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
