General Description


Administrative Assistant III will process lab renewals, print lab licenses, review state lab license applications.


Responsibilities and Standards

  • Receipt of applications and fees, check for all required documents, sends letters for incomplete applications and other required correspondence, corresponds with applicants and licensees as needed.  Sends out renewal notices for all licensees, receipts applications and fees, checks that all required documents are received and follows up with applicants as needed. Tracks licensees that have not renewed, sends out appropriate notice and makes any necessary changes in database or spreadsheet as applicable.  Corresponds with applicable Boards for verifications of credentials, complaint referrals and any other correspondence that may be applicable.     Prints and distributes licenses. Provides technical support to applicants and licensees.  Enters application information into database and up-dates information as needed.  Runs reports to gather information for ASO, Bureau Chief, supervisors or managers that may need the information.  Maintains current licensure list and distributes it as needed.  Research information when needed.  Keeps files current and organized by removing old documents, updating files with new, current information, and placing documents in the proper location within a file. Develops record maintenance and retrieval systems, cross references and indexes based on agency needs and policies. Able to meet established deadlines.

Requirements

(Education, experience and/or professional licensure)

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsibly relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
