Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Production Technician to join our day shift team. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, supporting efficient operations, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.
  • Communicate production and repair status updates to the supervisor.
  • Accurately document production details such as order numbers, part numbers, and time spent on tasks.
  • Participate in setup reduction efforts and assist with machine changeovers and setups.
  • Safely lift materials to and from worktables and apply proper stacking techniques.
  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure all machine guards are in place.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by cross-training in various departments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and safety policies.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures (hot and cold).
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in using a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use measuring instruments to 1/16th of an inch.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, twist, bend, and climb ladders or equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (average lift under 25 lbs).
  • Frequent reaching above shoulder height and below the waist.
  • Must wear PPE including hard hat, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Noise levels range from moderate to loud; hearing protection is required.
  • Subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations (0°F to 110°F).
