Maintenance Technician – Entry Level

Location: McCarren, NV (USA Parkway)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Hours subject to change; overtime required as needed)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our industrial maintenance team. This entry-level position offers significant growth potential for individuals interested in advancing their career in equipment and building maintenance. You will work in a fast-paced environment, performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment and facility systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute work orders generated by the Preventive Maintenance program and as directed by supervision.
• Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on equipment and building systems.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance on plant facilities and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required service.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve safety issues promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to obtain quotes and maintain inventory of repair materials and consumables.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented attitude—“that’s not my job” is discouraged.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills.
• HVAC experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs periodically.
• Frequent reaching, climbing, and working in various physical positions.
• Must wear appropriate PPE including gloves, eye protection, welding leathers, face shield, and steel-toe footwear.

Work Environment

• Exposure to seasonal temperature variations (0°F to 110°F).
• Hot conditions near welding and industrial equipment.
• Presence of smoke, fumes, and airborne particles.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Moderate to loud noise levels; hearing protection may be required.
