Position Overview:The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of all equipment within theService Center. Duties may include accurately moving, stacking, and loading product,consolidating, and staging pallets for put away. The Equipment Operators position requireassociates to be taken up to 30 feet in the air on equipment. Automation Operators dutiesinclude ensuring maximum throughput, first level troubleshooting of equipment problemsincluding use of computer logs and communicating labor needs to maximize the runninghours of the macheriny. All operators must be able to certify on any machine within thewarehouse as business needs dictate.Position Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities toperform the essential functions.? *Safely operate all equipment within the distribution center. Equipment operatorequipment includes: swing reach truck, reach truck, order picker, and any othermachines as needed. Automation operator equipment includes inbound receiving line,outbound single box line and autobagger.? *Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift and at fullcapacity which includes checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctionsto supervisor immediately.? *Equipment operators operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in adistribution facility and maneuvers equipment in and around tight corners, throughstaging areas, and around pedestrian traffic in a safe manner.? *Performs routine inspection on assigned equipment and refers defects or neededrepairs to the supervisor or maintenance team; cleans equipment.? *Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures.? Ability to work in a fast paced environment? Ability to read, write, operate RF and Print and Apply printing device, conduct businessrelated mathematics and analyze data as required.? Brings problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director or HRmanager.? Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.? Minimum of 6 months of previous equipment operations experience highlypreferred.Work Environment:This position works in a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure during theworkday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, boxcutters, rf scanner, and tape dispensers.
